James Tran

James is a proven expert in the power and energy industry and as a nearly 30-year veteran for a large Architecture & Engineering Consulting Firm and has led many successful projects. He has worked on utility scale projects with 200+MW of renewable capacity and multimillion dollars including design, coordination and management. James earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 1994 and his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2002. His experience in electrical engineering design ranges from utility substations to renewable commercial & industrial and utility scale projects. James is currently licensed as a professional electrical engineer in California, Colorado, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, South Carolina and a NCEES record-holder.
